Sheriff Investigators recovered the narcotics and have charged Jonathan O’Brian, age 24 and Joseph Bradley Young, age 30. Scott said during the arrest a small amount of methamphetamine and marijuana was found in the vehicle of the suspects. Young is being held on a $50,000.00 bond for Introduction of Contraband in a Correctional Facility and Possession of Methamphetamine. O’Brian is being held on a $50,000.00 for Introduction of Contraband in a Correctional Facility.
Clay County Sheriff Investigators have arrested and charged two individuals with Introduction of Contraband in a Correctional Facility. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated the arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred Saturday, July 29, 2017 where the two suspects threw what appeared to be methamphetamine into the secured area behind the jail.
Scott stated that contraband (drugs, alcohol, cell phones, etc.) is a continual problem that all correctional facilities across the nation face on a daily basis.
