On September 13, 2017 a joint operation conducted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the West Point Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics resulted in the arrest of 2 West Point residents. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated narcotic agents arrested Antone Logan, age 28 and Angela Young, age 41.

Scott said a large amount of narcotics was confiscated after a search warrant was executed at 125 Meadowhill Road in West Point. A large amount of marijuana, Ecstasy and multiple narcotic pills were seized by agents. Also recovered was a stolen firearm. The estimated street value of the drugs was in excess of $5,000.00. 

Young is incarcerated in the Clay County Detention Center with a $100,000.00 bond for the drug charges and a $10,000.00 bond for an embezzlement charge from the West Point Police Department. Logan is out on a bond of  $100,000.00 for the drug charges.
