A traffic stop initiated by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit resulted in the arrest of Sinthia Cherry, age 58 of Sturgis on June 22th on Hwy 45 Alt. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated investigators seized approximately 6 grams of Methamphetamine. Also arrested was Bryan Wilson, age 46 of Sturgis who was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia. 

Cherry remains incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center with a $5,000.00 bond.

Scott said the K9 Unit continues to be an effective tool in fighting illegal narcotics in our community.
