On October 2nd the Clay County Sheriff's Office and K9 Unit along with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the West Point Police Department executed a search warrant at #113 Relax Inn in West Point. Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that agents recovered illegal narcotics that included marijuana, methamphetamine, adderall and heroin. Arrested and charged were Renaldo Carrothers, age 44 of West Point and Megan Farrell, age 32 both of West Point. Carrothers was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Adderall and Possession of Marijuana (misdemeanor). Bond total was set at $15,000.00 for the felony possessions. Farrell was charged with Possession of Adderall and Possession of Marijuana (misdemeanor). Bond was set at $5,000.00. Both remain incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center awaiting arraignment October 4th at the Clay County Justice Complex.
