On October 15th a traffic stop on Broad Street Extended initiated by the Clay County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit resulted in the seizure of approximately a pound of marijuana. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that Ronald Gore, age 24 of Columbus was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana w/Intent along with a misdemeanor charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. A passenger in the vehicle, Jessie Hutton, age 26 of Columbus was charged with Possession of Marijuana (misdemeanor). Bond was set for Gore at $5,000.00 for the felony possession w/intent charge.
