On December 20, 2020 the Clay County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to assist the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks in a trespassing call in western Clay County. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said upon arrival deputies arrested and charged Nathan Sinko, age 39 with possession of methamphetamine - 28 grams, trespassing and numerous misdemeanor charges. Steve Pumphrey, age 59 was also charged with possession of methamphetamine - 2 liquid syringes and trespassing.
Sinko remains incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center with a $31,869.25 bond and a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Pumphrey's bond was set at 5,390.00. Both individuals will have their preliminary hearing in Clay County Justice Court on January 7, 2020.
