Clay County Sheriff Investigators have arrested and charged 2 individuals with the recent burglaries that occurred Saturday, February 20th around the Point Harbor area of Clay County. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said investigators arrested Edward Malone, age 36 and Melissa Ford, age 32 in connection with these burglaries. Malone has been charged with 2 cts. of Burglary and Ford with 1 ct. of Accessory Before the Fact. Investigators state that some items are still missing which include 2 guns and several chainsaws.

Malone and Ford are currently incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center with preliminary hearings set for February 25th at Clay County Justice Court. Malone's bond has been set at $50,000.00 and Ford's at $10,000.00.
