On February 6, 2014 at approximately 10:45 p.m. the Clay County Sheriff Department deputies responded to a gunshot victim at the boat landing at Tibbee Lake. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that Dallas Cole Davis, age 20, of 2673 Hwy 32, Okolona, MS was discovered with an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Cole was transported to the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus where he was later pronounced dead. Scott said the body has been sent to Jackson for autopsy while Clay County Sheriff Investigators continue to investigate the case.
