On April 20, 2022 the Clay County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged Elexis Roebuck, age 19 of West Point and Jodi Ott, age 23 also of West Point with 4 counts of Burglary and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated the charges stem from multiple auto burglaries that occurred in the residential area of Humphries Cove in the early morning hours of April 11, 2022.

Sheriff Scott also stated that 2 juveniles are also being charged and will be processed through the Clay County Youth Court. Scott stated investigators recovered some of the property that was stolen from the vehicles and are working with Monroe County Sheriff's Office to recover some of the missing firearms.

Both are currently incarcerated in the Clay County Detention Center with a $20,457.75 bond each. Their preliminary hearing is set for April 28, 2022 at Clay County Justice Court.

Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that the investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected to filed concerning the burglaries. The Sheriff's Office encouraged everyone to lock their vehicles when personal items are left inside.
