Christopher Ivy

On April 27th Clay County Sheriff Investigators have charged Christopher Ivy, age 18 of Prairie with possession of a stolen firearm, 1 misdemeanor count of Possession of Marijuana in Vehicle and 1 count of disobeying traffic control device. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated the arrest stemmed when Ivy attempted to evade a safety check point conducted by law enforcement officials. Scott said deputies recovered a stolen weapon out of Oktibbeha County that was thrown out of the vehicles while deputies were attempting to stop the suspect. Deputies also recovered a small amount of marijuana and was booked into the Clay County Detention Center. Ivy is out on a $6, 366.25 bond.
