Clay County Sheriff's Office Investigators have arrested and charged Kirk Lewis, age 30 and Amanda Remer, age 37 of Aliceville, Al. with home fraud repair. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated the charge stemmed from the suspects collecting $8,000.00 in prepayment for the installation of a swimming pool and never returned to start the job. Both suspects are currently detained at the Clay County Detention Center with a $5,000.00 bond. Preliminary court date is pending at the Clay County Justice Court.
