Clay County Sheriff's Investigators continue to investigate a residential burglary that occurred on November 11th at 365 Joe Thompson Road in western Clay County. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that 3 firearms, 2 laptop computers, a guitar and jewelry were stolen from the residence. Sheriff's Investigators have developed a suspect who has been identified as Asa Jennings Lester. The suspect is described as a white male (DOB 05-08-2002) with brown hair and brown eyes. Lester's last known address was 1381 Cane Creed Road Lot 4, Pontotoc, MS. Lester has distinct tattoos on his right forearm, inner biceps and right arm. The suspect was last seen with a trimmed beard, white t-shirt and blue shorts. Lester is also a suspect in Webster County for taking of a motor vehicle that possibly was used in the burglary on Joe Thompson Road. The pickup is described as a 1994 GMC (blue in color) with Mississippi license plate B929GL. Sheriff Scott would like to remind the public that burglary and armed robberies normally pick up during the holiday season. Local and state authorities will be increasing their presence in our community to deter criminal activity.
