Earvin Kirkwood, Jr.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott has confirmed that a body was found of a reported missing individual in western Clay County on Feburary 4th. Sheriff Scott stated the victim was identified as Earvin Kirkwood, Jr. age 67 of 22139 Hwy. 46 in Clay County. Sheriff Scott said the recovery is being treated as a homicide with apparent multiple stab wounds to the body. The Clay County Sheriff's Office is being assisted by Clay County Coroner Alvin Carter and investigators with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. The body will be sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for autopsy.
