Jerone Baskin

On September 2nd a joint operation conducted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and agents from the Clay County Sheriff's Office resulted in the arrest of Jerone Baskin, age 45 of West Point. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said that agents recovered approximately 12 ounces of packaged marijuana, along with scales and packaging material. Agents have charged Baskin with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and a bond has been set at $20,000.00 by the Clay County Justice Court. Baskin also remains incarcerated with a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

In an unrelated arrest, Christopher Bell, age 35 of West Point was charged with Sale of Cocaine by agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Clay County Sheriff's Office. Bond was set at $25,000.00 and remains incarcerated with a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
